Perched high on the hill above Bideford, the little white town, Bideford Retreat offers an idyllic setting for company offsites, leadership retreats, and team gatherings. This elegant country house combines period character with comfortable modern facilities, creating a memorable environment for productive meetings and relaxed time together.

The venue is available for exclusive use, so teams can enjoy the house, accommodation, grounds, and facilities privately. Inside, there are sumptuous reception rooms for larger gatherings and more intimate conversations, an impressive Hall for welcome drinks and canapés, a chandeliered Dining Room for shared meals, and a farmhouse kitchen for more informal dining.

Set within five acres of private woodland, gardens, lawns, and a dedicated dog-walking field, the venue offers plenty of space to step away from screens and enjoy the countryside. A tennis court, indoor games room, outdoor games facilities, and optional hot tubs provide opportunities for teams to relax and connect after working sessions.

Accommodation

Bideford Retreat sleeps up to 31 guests across the main house and Coach House, with the option to accommodate up to 38 guests depending on the final bedroom configuration.

Hallsannery House: 11 ensuite bedrooms, sleeping up to 22 adults, with additional capacity for children.

Bedroom configuration: The main house bedrooms feature super-king beds, with selected rooms able to convert into twin beds.

Coach House: Additional accommodation across 4 bedrooms, sleeping approximately 8 to 9 guests.

Coach House facilities: 3 bathrooms, a self-contained coastal kitchen, a cosy sitting room with log burner, and a private courtyard.

Total accommodation: Up to 15 bedrooms across the main house and Coach House.

Exclusive use: The Coach House is booked alongside Hallsannery House, giving your group private use of the estate.

Meeting and Event Spaces

Bideford Retreat has three large reception rooms, a grand Hall for drinks receptions, presentations, and informal gatherings, and a chandeliered Dining Room that can seat up to 70 guests. These spaces allow teams to move easily between larger meetings, breakout sessions, private dining, and relaxed conversation. The grounds and terraces also provide opportunities for outdoor sessions, walks, drinks, and team activities.
